Cultivation Tours

Tours of our facility and current exhibits are available to K-12 school groups, colleges and universities, parent-teacher organizations, businesses and community groups. Tours can be complimented with pre and post visit materials and may be referential to the appropriate grade level and course curriculum. Tours generally occur during normal hours of operation: 11 am - 6 pm, Tuesday - Saturday.

Tour Information:

Participants
All tours and activities accommodate a maximum of 25 participants. One free chaperone per 10 students is required during visits. Additional adult chaperones are charged the student rate of $5 for school visits.

Lunches
The Café is available for groups in need of an eating space before, during or after a tour. Tour groups may bring lunches or purchase bag lunches for $7 each. Bag lunch included a sandwich, apple, bag of ships and water. Lunch requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance.

Parking
School bus parking permits are available at 980 Liberty Avenue directly in front of the August Wilson Center. Please contact the August Wilson Center for more information. Deposits
To reserve a tour, a 50% deposit must be paid in advance by credit card, certified check or money order. The full balance is due upon arrival and may be paid by cash, check, debit, credit or money order.

Cancellations
The August Wilson Center Cultivation Department must be notified in writing of cancellations, rescheduling requests or increases and decreases in attendees no less than two weeks (10 business days) before the scheduled tour. Parties may fax or e-mail cancellation requests. If fewer than ten business days are given, groups will forfeit their 50% deposit amount.

Last Minute Requests
Facility & Exhibition tours and activities made fewer than two weeks in advance are subject to a non-refundable $30 fee. This allows us to make our tour guide available with little advanced notice.
